About Commissioned Pieces

Sonoran Jade accepts a limited number of commissions each year. Each piece begins with a conversation—exploring subject, scale, and intention—followed by a careful selection of jade chosen specifically for the project.

The carving process is guided both by design and by the natural character of the stone, allowing the final form to emerge through a balance of planning and response.

Because of the nature of the material and the level of detail involved, timelines and outcomes are not rushed or forced. Clients should expect a collaborative process, with room for the stone itself to influence the final result.

Commissions are best suited for those who value craftsmanship, individuality, and the time required to create something truly unique.
